Viola Agnes Chancellor's Obituary
Viola Agnes Chancellor, age 99, of Howard, Kansas passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, Kansas. Viola was born September 11, 1912 the daughter of Frank and May Jane (Jones) Bane.
She was a resident of Howard since 1927. Viola worked for Dr. Richard Reed DDS for 30 years and retired the same time as Dr. Reed. Viola was united in marriage to Kenneth Chancellor on February 25, 1930. She was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church since 1930, a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Order of Eastern Star Columbia Chapter #142 and Howard Rebekah Lodge.
Viola is survived by one brother Dayrel Bane of Eureka, Kansas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Howard United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Cryderman and Chaplain Mark Sommerville officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grace Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the Howard United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of Kansas and may be left with the funeral home.
