Virgil Frank Barnett's Obituary
Virgil Frank Barnett, age 92, of Cadiz, Kentucky died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Trigg Co. Hospital in Cadiz of natural causes. He was born on August 12, 1920 in Maxville, Kansas the son of Frank and Minnie (Smith) Barnett.
On May 24, 1941 Virgil was united in marriage to Viola Mae Osborn in Independence, Kansas. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son; Dallas Frank Barnett of McKenzie, Tennessee, two daughters; Della Barnett of Piqua, Ohio and Doradean Barnett of Montgomery, Alabama, one brother Charles Barnett of Altoona, Kansas, sisters; Melba Foote of Winfield, Kansas, Mildred Strome of Herington, Kansas, Joyce Woodall of Jefferson City, Missouri and Margie Ann of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Viola, sister Jean Lee and brother Joe Barnett.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Countryside - Zimmerman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Elk Falls Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, C/O Judy Terrell, 149 Oakland Church Rd, Cadiz, KY 42211 and may be left with the funeral home.
