Virginia C. Ronsick/Johnson, age 74 of Severy, Kansas passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. Virginia was born on December 21, 1933 in Ottawa, Kansas the daughter of Wilbur and Violet (Russell) Peterson.
She worked as a secretary for Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Virginia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Severy, United Methodist Women, Cosmos, and 2 bridge clubs.
On June 20, 2004 Virginia married Irwin V. Johnson in Severy, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband Irwin Johnson of Severy, Kansas, two daughters; Diane Padalinski of Aurora, Colorado and Denise Landau of Wichita, Kansas, two step-daughters; Susan Linsley of Greenville, South Carolina and Julie Bailey of Wichita, Kansas, one step-son Jeff Johnson of Wichita, Kansas, one brother Max Peterson of Richardson Texas, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Severy, Kansas with Pastor Charles Cryderman officiating. With visitation from 1 PM until service time at the church. Family and friend s are invited to the fellowship hall immediately following the service for coffee and cake. Interment will be held at 10 AM Monday, May 5 at the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita. Family suggests contributions to either the Severy United Methodist Church or the Severy Area Senior Center and may be sent to Countryside Funeral Home P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS 66736.
