Virginia Elizabeth Churchill's Obituary
Virginia Elizabeth Morast Churchill was born in Kansas City, Mo, on January 31, 1924 to Elizabeth Riley Morast and Julius Morast. She went home to be with her Lord on November 12, 2014 after a short illness.
On May 6, 1944, Virginia was betrothed to Jerry Clair Churchill in Kansas City, MO. Virginia was a life time homemaker and nurturer. She dearly loved the Lord and her family and she spent her life serving both. Virginia and Jerry were married 34 years before Jerry passed away.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Jerry.
She is survived by her dearly loved children; Denise Churchill Cochran and husband Keith of Topeka, KS.; Steven Churchill and wife Roxanne of Joplin, MO.; Kerry Churchill Briggs and husband Bill of Gove, KS.; and Breck Churchill and wife Janet of Springfield MO. She leaves 12 precious grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a beloved brother, Ralph Morast of Kansas City, MO and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2014, 9:30 a.m., with the Funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel 101 N. Highland in Chanute. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church in Chanute and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
