Virginia Ruth Hall's Obituary
Virginia Ruth Jenkins Hall passed away peacefully at Heritage Healthcare August 11, 2024. She was the second child born on December 13, 1935 in Chanute, Kansas to Carl and Ruth Jenkins (Williams).
Viginia attended Chanute Schools and NCCC, graduating from both, she began her working career at the tuberculosis hospital, which was behind the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. She worked for HK Porter which is now Thermoid. She was a homemaker and then started working for SEK-CAP Headstart where she eventually retired from. She married Robert M. Hall on July 4, 1964, they later divorced. They were blessed with 5 children, Robbie Hall, Pittsburg, Kansas, Cidna Pitlick (Dustin) Pierre, South Dakota, Mark Hall, Chanute, Kansas, Bryan Hall (Laurel), Chanute, Kansas, and Christopher Hall, Chanute, Kansas, and she was blessed with 18 grandchildren, and 39 great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother aunt to all the nephews and nieces who referred to her as “Aunt Gi.” To all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was referred to as “Grandy.” She was a perfectionist at all she did, doing everything to the very best of her ability. Very articulate and artistic, she sang so beautifully. She was known for her singing at church. She attended The Chanute Church of God In Christ where her son Mark became her Pastor.
Virginia was proceeded in death by both parents, Carl and Ruth Jenkins, brother, Robert Lee Jenkins, and granddaughter, Marquita Denae’ Hall.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of NMRMC HOSPICE, Heritage Healthcare, Guest Home 2 and Dr. Bruce W. Lee for their support and care for their mother, God Bless You All.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church Good News Center, 118 N. Forest, Chanute, KS at 9:00 am on Tuesday, August 20th. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 10:00 am.
