Virginia Ruth Bryan's Obituary
Virginia Ruth Bryan, age 80, of Moline, Kansas passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Sedan City Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1931 in Longton, Kansas the daughter of Arthur Cleveland and Mary Drusilla (Bacus) Ferry. Virginia attended school in Howard and later in Moline.
On December 23, 1949, Virginia was united in marriage to Marable Bryan in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Virginia worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Moline and an over 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ladonia Chapter.
Virginia is survived by her husband Marable of Moline, Kansas, one son Steven Bryan and his wife Lyneva of Herington, Kansas, two daughters Pamela Bryan of LeRoy, Kansas and Peggy Weaver and her husband Glennis of Moline, Kansas, one sister Mary Harper of Moline, Kansas and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Floyd Ferry and sister Laura Van Royen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Countryside-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas with Pastor Gary Boles officiating. Friends may stop by and sign the register book until 6:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Moline Cemetery. Family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside - Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.
