W. Kay Shultz's Obituary
W. Kay Shultz age 66 of Humboldt, Kansas, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at her home. Kay was born December 19, 1942 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Theo Lyle and Helen Opal (Phillips) Baker.
Kay and her family moved to the Chanute area in 1945, when she was 3 years old. She was a graduate of Chanute Senior High the class of 1960. On June 16, 1961 Kay married Gene Shultz at the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Kay and Gene were married for 39 years until his death of September 15, 2000.
Kay worked in the health care industry for 24 years in the Chanute area and at LaRue Machines for 2 ½ years. Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church in Humboldt and also the “Cheep Chicks†of Humboldt.

Grover Shultz of Scammon, Kansas
Todd and his wife Gayle Shultz of Humboldt, Kansas
Two Daughters:
Kandy and husband Terry Row Jr. of Chanute, Kansas
Sherri and Husband Kevin Wilson of Pea Ridge, Arkansas
One Brother:
Lyle and his wife Patty Baker of Conroe, Texas
14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren
Kay was preceded in death by her, parents, husband Gene, two sisters Joyce Carlson and Lois Nelson and one daughter-in-law Debra Elaine Shultz
Funeral services will be held Friday November 20, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Humboldt, Kansas at 10:00 am with burial to follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the First Baptist Church in Humboldt. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas State University Cancer Research or the American Heart Association and may be sent to the funeral home.
