Walter Dale Perry's Obituary
Walter Dale Perry, age 77, of Chanute, KS, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in Chanute. Walter was born on July 15, 1937 in Erie, KS, the son of Claude Duval Perry and Edna Leona Todd.
Walter served in the United States Army for 20 years. He served in the Vietnam War before finishing his service in the National Guard. Walter was a member of the VFW and was also a member of the Ambassador Christian Church in Chanute. Walter enjoyed taking care of his beautiful flower garden and was very proud of his irises and roses. He also loved to go out dancing every Saturday night.
Walter is survived by one sister; Frances Gordon of Lamar, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Edna, two brothers; Clarence Perry and Ralph Perry, three sisters; Bea (Perry) Allen, Carlyn Perry, and Leona Stone.
Cremation has taken place.
Private family service will be at a later date.
Family suggests memorials to the Ambassador Christian Church, and may left with or mailed to the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. On-line condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
