Wanda Mae Gorton, age 89 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Chanute, KS. She was born on September 2, 1929 in Sallisaw, OK, the daughter of Clarence and Iva (Jackson) Bagby.
Wanda graduated from Lafontaine High School in 1947. Wanda married John Gorton on June 29, 1947 in Lafontaine, KS. She was the office manager for her and John’s real estate business, Gorton Real Estate.
Wanda enjoyed oil painting and baking. She loved keeping in contact with her family and emailing everyone. She most of all loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they meant the world to her. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chanute.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Chanute, KS. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute.
