Wanda R. Wartick's Obituary
Wanda Ruth Wartick, daughter of Faye and Margaret (Underwood) Wilson, was born near Wauneta, Kansas on Dec. 27, 1932. She grew up in the Belnap and Wolfe Creek localities, and graduated from high school at Grenola High in 1951.
She married Wallace W. Wartick on October 31, 1952. This couple had three children: Paula Elaine, Paul Duane, and Dwight Wade.
Wanda was immersed into Christ in 1948 in Caney River, along with a number of other young folk, and was a member of Grenola Christian Church at her death on August 16, 2016 at her home in Grenola.
During her sixty-three years of marriage to Wallace, she served God as a wife and mother for sixty-three years, which included being a preacher’s wife in Council Hill Christian Church in Peck, Kansas; in Jasper Christian Church in Jasper, Missouri; in Reece Christian Church at Eureka, Kansas, and Grenola Christian Church in Grenola, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace, by her three children, Elaine, Duane, and Dwight, by seven grandchildren, along with other family members and friends.
