William E. (Bill) Settle's Obituary
William E. (Bill) Settle age 78 of Fredonia, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Bill was born on March 22, 1939 in Independence, Kansas, the son of N. Duncan and Helen L. (Steele) Settle.
Bill was a graduate of Fredonia High School, class of 1957. After high school, Bill attended the College of Emporia, then to the University of Denver to get his Juris Doctor. On September 2, 1961 Bill married Lynn Huffman, they were married for 49 years until her death of April 10, 2011.
Bill worked many years as an attorney, then went on to work for Cobalt and as a sales representative for Rigid Steel Company. Bill enjoyed taking scuba diving trips with his wife Lynn. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Most of all he loved being with his family and grandchildren.

John Settle and wife Terri of Fredonia, Kansas
7 Grandchildren: Jenny (Josh) Bissitt, Hilary Settle, Molly (Chris) Norman, Abbey (Chase) Lineback, Christian Lippert, Madi Lippert, and Lily Lippert.
5 Great Grandchildren: Sheldon Shaw, Hailey Shaw, Korbin Bissitt, Cooper Bunyard and Charlie Lineback.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia, with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia. Rosary will be held, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia There will be no open visitation. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to either the Fredonia Library or Sacred Heart Catholic Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
