William J. "Bill" Tindle's Obituary
William J. “Bill” Tindle age 80 of Fredonia, died Monday June 16, 2014 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Bill was born on November 4, 1933 in LaFountain, KS the son of Claude and Mary (McKinney) Tindle.
Bill grew up in the New Albany, KS area and was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1951. On November 19, 1955 Bill married Joyce Trimmell. Bill and Joyce were married for 49 years until her death of July 6, 2005.
In June of 1956 Bill joined the U.S. Army and served until 1958. Bill farmed all of his life, and worked at Portland Cement (LaFarge) for 22 years. Bill received his 50 year pin as a Free Mason, and he was a member of the Fredonia Senior Center and the First United Methodist Church. Bill farmed along the Fall River near New Albany for 50 years until his retirement. Bill still enjoyed his daily drives going around the farm. He was an avid bull riding fan and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

5 Great Grandchildren: Devin Voth, Bowen Tindle, Colten Dinkel, Layla Tindle and Emma Dinkel
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, sisters; Maxine Likes, Beth Cade, Mary Lou Ingle and Paulina Jenkins, and brother Joe Tindle.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home, burial to follow at the Weakly Cemetery near New Albany.. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
