William "Willie" D. Millar's Obituary
William D. “Willie” Millar, 84, of New Albany, KS passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his home. Willie was born on November 15, 1938, in New Albany, the son of William C. and Eva M. (Harris) Millar.
On May 3, 1958, Willie married Linda Kay Culbertson, they were married for 59 years until her death of September 14, 2017. Willie worked for more than 39 years at the Fredonia ADM. After his retirement from ADM, he then worked for the City of Fredonia for approximately 14 years.
Willie loved to visit with anybody who took the time to visit with him. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in any sporting event they were in and was an avid Chiefs fan. Willie enjoyed working in his yard, going fishing, driving his 46 Chevy Fleet-side, and watching wrestling on TV. Most importantly, Willie loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, siblings: Katrine, James, Carol, Rose, Eddie and June. Granddaughter Jolene Thorne and Great Granddaughter Jasmine Erbe.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time, with burial to follow at Weakley Cemetery, New Albany, KS. Memorials have been suggested to either the Fredonia Pound Pals or the New Albany Methodist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
