Yvonne Anita (Ulin) Thummel's Obituary
Yvonne Anita (Ulin) Thummel, age 95, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017. Yvonne was born on April 22, 1922 at home in Hunter, KS, the daughter of Francis and Gurthy (Turner) Ulin.
Yvonne graduated from Hunter High School in 1940. On October 28, 1946 Yvonne married Vincent Thummel in Piqua, KS. He preceded her in death.
Yvonne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. She also had been a member of the Altar Society in Russell, KS at St. Mary Queen of the Angels and the VFW Auxiliary in Scott City, KS.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent; brothers, Earl Ulin, Edgar Ulin and Leo Ulin; sisters, Agnes Halfhide, Lela Knieling, Oddivene Thummel and Louise Ulin and a grandson, Kevin Craig DeNoon.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. Interment will follow the service at 4 p.m. at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Hunter, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
