In Elementary school, I spent many hours hooked on behind Bruce and Nadine’s boat out at the South Moline Lake. It was nothing unusual for him to eagerly invite my family and other friends to be pulled on the tube. Bruce’s boat made waves big enough to intimidate any young boy but of course I would agree to go. I can see him today, just like it was yesterday, cutting kitties in the lake trying to through me and Adam Ware off! He would have an ornery look in his eye and laughing the whole time. Now as an adult, every summer while at the lake with my two kids, I enjoy telling the stories about my boating days with Bruce. His lake legend will never be forgotten.

I will always have fond memories of Bruce. He even took the time to bring my horse to the farm so Karen and I could spend the weekend riding horses, I remember spending a lot of fun weekends on the farm with this wonderful family!
