Bruce Dale Fickle's Obituary
Bruce Dale Fickle, age 87 of Howard, KS passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Winfield Rest Haven Winfield, KS. Bruce was born May 4, 1928 in rural Howard, the son of Herman and Ruth (Goss) Fickle.
Bruce graduated from Howard High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served his country. On January 21, 1950 he married Wanda Nadine Loyd, and they were married 66 years. Bruce was a farmer, and he loved to hunt and spend time at the lake water skiing. His greatest joy though, was spending time with his family.
Bruce is survived by his wife; Nadine of the home, children; Bruce Dale Fickle, Jr. of Hot Springs, AR, Raymond Lynn Fickle and wife Pam of Towanda, KS, Randy Gene Fickle and wife Tamara of Mulvane, KS, Karen Ann Gibson of Towanda, KS, Richard Leroy Fickle and wife Angie of Norwich, KS, Sharon Sue Moore and husband Don of Winfield, KS, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Herman and Ruth, and son; Charles Thomas Fickle.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, KS 67349. Visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home. Family suggests memorials to New Beginnings at Moline or Rivercross Hospice.
