Betty, I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the memorial service. I was an admirer of Carl in the business world, he and you were so professional. Janell and I are thinking about you. Of course, I have visited with you in the not so distant past, but my most fertile memories of you and Carl are from the years I went to Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's for the rodeo over the 4th of July or Thanksgiving or Christmas. That was when I was 6 to 12 years old (1954 to 1959 or so). I recall Carl (and you) as laughing a lot, always good-natured and teasing. (This picture captures him very well.) And I sure do remember Carl in his hunting gear - often drinking an ice cold beer after shooting a few quail. I bet you guys had wonderful years together, so enjoy those memories.

P.S. Long story......but we are in Florida on an extended stay or we would be at the funeral. Grenola will be a peaceful and perfect place for Carl's services.
Betty we were deeply saddened to learn of Carl's passing he was a true gentlemen. You may not remember me, I am Irene Buffalow's daughter, and we really enjoyed our visits with you and Carl at the Elk Falls Reunions.WE would have loved to be there and at the service but I am having some Health issues and not able to travel at this time. May the Lord bless and keep you at this difficult time.
