Dear Pamela, I was shocked and saddened to read of Lynn's passing. Please accept my condolences. I did not know him well, but taught his brother Larry and knew his dad, Carl. Lynn was a gifted athlete in a community that admires athletics, and it would have been easy for his talents to go to his head, but even as a young man, Lynn carried himself as a Mackey, and the Mackey family have always been respected and admired by those who know them. Please extend my sympathy to his family. If there is ever any way I may be of service to you, his children or his family, do not hesitate to contact me ([email protected]).
You, Lynn, and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. Those prayers include prayer for comfort, strength and courage. God bless you.

Lynn Mackey was a friend and teammate of mine in high school. He was an outstanding athlete, especially in track. I also remember him as a friend to many, a fun person to be around, and an all around good guy. Even though I have not seen him in years, I was saddened to learn of his passing. To all of his family, I wish you God's comfort and care at a time of sorrow and sadness. Sincerely, Allen Voth
Lynn could light up a room with his personality and stories. He always
ready to help someone in need. He loved and supported his family.
