Carol was a friend of mine for 11 years. we went through her dad and moms funeral together and now her own. She gave me some lovely things . Now I wont throw them away for a long time. Big on Itelligence. Even bigger on a caring, giving heart. I for one will miss her alot. Tess Bromlow Howard, ks.
I became friends with Carol when I started working at the Housing Authority in Howard Ks.
Carol shared her opinions whether you agreed with her or not and I learned quickly that she loved to argue so I was always of the opposite opinion so we could have a healthy argument!! We had many lunches together and lengthy phone calls even after she moved to Hutchison. The calls slowed down recently, I sent her an email just a couple of weeks ago telling her I missed her and then found out she had been in the hospital.
She thought the world of my husband and called him "Sir Thomas". She called regularly to check on him after a recent surgery and even called us in Florida to make sure things were going well on vacation when so many terrible news stories were coming out of the Orlando area.
I will miss her outrageous and loud laughter and times we shared.
I know she was prepared for the eventuality of where the cancer was taking her and had made peace with our maker. Wish I had visited her before she passed, but she knew how I felt about her.
Now she is with her Mom and Dad and the Heavens will never be the same!!
God Bless you Carol!!
To Carol's Family: Carol and I were high school classmates and she was loved by all. We all have such fond memories of the A&W and dragging Main. I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Carol's passing. Next year will be our 50th class reunion and we were so hoping that Carol would be there. My sincere sympathy to all of you. May God comfort you during this difficult time. Blessings! Debbie (Cummings) Lattimer
Saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, Carol. We met in college at Emporia many years ago and remained friends.....sharing lots and lots of long conversations over the years. I will miss her, but have many wonderful memories of time spent together. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.
