Chance was a sweetheart. I adored him. He had a fervent love of history, which meant we had much in common. He was one of my most beloved History Club members He will sincerely be missed. Prayers go out to the family. I am sure God is wrapping him in His loving arms right now, He is probably up there reciting the U.S. presidents in under 20 seconds, as he astoundingly did in 5th grade! What a beautiful mind he had!

The memory of Chance that resonates most with me was an hour and a half car ride home from visiting Starla (his aunt and my dear friend) several years ago. I didn’t know Chance very well before then and remember worrying about how the conversation would go or if it would be awkward silence. However, the ride home was filled with nothing but wonderful discussion. I learned a lot about Chance on that drive. His words were insightful, passionate and thoughtful. He glowed when talking about his nieces and nephews. He talked about knowing God and loving being with his family. I could tell he knew what mattered most. Every time I ran into him after that he always took time to say hello and ask how my kids were doing. I’m so saddened by the loss of such a sweet soul. My prayers are with the family.
Chance and his daughter would walk past my yard and look at my flowers. He helped me many times and my heart breaks that he left this world so soon.
Chance was my prayer buddy. Every time I would see him, I would say praying for you buddy,and he would come back with I need all of them you can spare. Chance see you on the other side. In the meantime I'm still praying for comfort and peace for family and friends. God bless you
