Chance Joseph Sallee's Obituary
Chance Joseph Sallee, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his home in Humboldt, Kansas. Chance was born on February 23, 1986, in Chanute, Kansas, to Buddie Sallee and Mary (Liles) Lumley.
Chance was a big family man; he loved his family, especially his daughter Maddilyn Jessie Sallee. He had a big heart for people and animals. Giving to others was his specialty. He loved to cook and share his meals with others. Chance enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, working in his garden, and listening to music. He was an avid music lover and history buff. He shared a wealth of knowledge about American History. In grade school, he was in the History Club. His love for music was like no other. He loved to listen to all genres of music from 90’s country to heavy metal. The knowledge he shared about artists and their songs was quite incredible. As we mourn the loss of our beloved son, father, brother, cousin, uncle, etc., we will remember all the good times we had with him. We will remember him for the caring and giving person he was. So, Chance, this is not goodbye, this is See You Later.

Chance was preceded in death by maternal grandpa, Sonny Liles

A Memorial Service for Chance will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions can be made in Chance’s name to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Memorials can be left with Countryside Funeral Home.
