Dianne was my best friend for 44 1/2 years. I met her in January 1970 when she transferred to Baker University and was few doors from my room. It didn't take long for us to become friends and roommates . Our friends called us the Bobbsey Twins because we were always together. During college, I enjoyed weekends at her home in Kansas City. I loved her parents and her sister Suzanne . Dianne would visit my grandparents home in Sabetha, Kansas and my home in Lincoln, Nebraska. After college, we were bridesmaids in each other's wedding. Over the years, our families would meet at different locations for a visit.
For 14 years, Dianne handled her cancer with grace, dignity and a sense of humor. The last time I spoke with her in May, she said "I didn't feel well yesterday, but I think I'm better today. " There is a huge hole without her, but I know she's with The Lord. Our love and prayers to Sam and family and friends.
