Gale Wayne Jeffers' Obituary
Gale Wayne Jeffers, a beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 27, 2025, at his home in La Harpe, Kansas. He was 70 years old.
Gale was born on August 23, 1954 to George and Eva Jeffers. He graduated from high school in California and later made Kansas his home. For many years, Gale worked as a driver for Beachner Grain in Bronson, Kansas, where he was known for his reliability, diligence, friendly demeanor. Gale was united in marriage to the love of his life Ramona Boland on August 5, 1978.
Beyond his professional life, Gale was a man of diverse interests and passions. An avid HAM radio operator, he was a valued member of both the SEK Amateur Radio Club and the Iola Amateur Radio Club, finding great enjoyment in connecting with others through this hobby. He also had a keen appreciation for classic cars and enjoyed attending car shows and auctions.
Gale is preceded in death by his parents, George and Eva Jeffers, and his sister, Karen. He is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Jeffers; his daughter, Kathleen Jeffers; his brothers, Bruce and Keith Jeffers; his sister, Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews. His warmth, kindness, and engaging personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service celebrating Gale’s life will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720, on Thursday, February 13th, at 1:00 PM.
