I remember the day a neighbor T-boned my dad's truck on the driver's side. That neighbor pleaded with my dad to not call the sherrif's department because he had no insurance. My dad did have mercy on him because, not only was the man a new neighbor, but he had many small children and a wife he was trying to support.
My dad came to get me to try and pull the truck home, but the wheel axel was locked up, and we were only able to drag it off the road. It was evening and the though the sun was shining it did not blind my view of my dad standing high upon his tractor driving home. I remember thinking that the sun could not outshine him at that moment, and that I wished that I had a camera. I quickly dismissed the importance of a camera because I knew I would never forget what I had witnessed that day. Our heavenly Father's glory shown through my dad that day. Rest in peace daddy.
