George Milton Greve Jr.'s Obituary
George Milton Greve, Jr., age 87 of Erie, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Robert J. Dole VA Hospital in Wichita, KS. George was born March 4, 1931 outside of Urbana. KS on the family farm, the son of George Milton, Sr. and Lena Marie (Stich) Greve.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1949. George enlisted in the United States Army July 1, 1952 and served until June 30, 1954. He was proud to have served his country and he received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On June 1, 1956, George married Betty Greer in Neodesha, KS. Later that year on October 3, 1956, they purchased their first piece of property outside of Erie, KS. George enjoyed going to auctions and family reunions. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; son, Wesley W. Greve and brother, Charles Greve.
Rosary will be recited Monday, December 31, 2018 9:15 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Rosary at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Odense Cemetery. The Chanute Honor Guard will be in charge of military honors. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
