The Barth family have fond memories of Jim. The city cousins loved visiting their country cousins because they knew how to have a good time. Jim was the best as his ideas were awesome and original. We loved that man!!!
Thinking of you at this time. Prayers of comfort for you and your family.

I spent some time at the Bolton house as a kid and Mr. Bolton was such a great dad to his girls. I can remember his pet grasshopper, his patience with little girls fishing with canned corn and his ability to seem sound asleep but instantly know when the channel was stealthy changed from his football game. His girls loved him deeply. Deepest condolences.

Suann - Neil was telling the story of how Jim used to coach the bball team and Neil was center - Jim liked the way Neil moved on the court. Neil has good memories of him. I will always remember his cheerfullness when visiting with him. prayers for peace and comfort to you all.

Of the hundreds of memories I have with Jim, by far the best was the "Elected Official" advice he gave me.
When I was running for my first term as Wilson County Treasurer; the Coyville Community had a potluck supper once a month and they invited me to come and share my ideas and to hear their suggestions. After we had a wonderful meal, I was invited to take the floor. I spoke for about 15 minutes and heard plenty of suggestions and advice. Sensing the room had exhausted these topics, Jim motioned me over to him and whispered in my ear: "I have three words that will guarantee all of our votes." You know I had to ask, "What are they?" He whispered the answer in my ear. And I turned around and announced: "ICE CREAMS READY."
Thank you, Jim for a lifetime of memories, laughter, hugs and advice. You will be missed.
