James "Jim" Jones' Obituary
James (Jim) Michael Jones, age 57, of Chanute, passed away passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Neosho Memorial Regional Hospital, Chanute, KS. Jim was born on March 29, 1959 in Chanute, KS the son of John Paul and Ada Marie (Brazil) Jones, both of whom preceded him in death.
Jim married Janice Haynes February 25, 1989 in Chanute, KS.
Jim graduated from Chanute High School in 1976. After graduation he moved to California for a short time, then returned to Chanute. He worked at NuWa Camper Industries for 20 years in Chanute. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chanute. Jim was his son, Clint’s, Boy Scout Troop Leader in Humboldt and Chanute for several years. He enjoyed watching his daughter, Tammy, cheer and son, Clint play at their games and teaching his children to drive. Jim always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Jim loved to hunt, fish, garden, looking for wild asparagus and mushrooms. He also enjoyed family dinners and spending time with his family and friends, watching the Chiefs football games, camping and vacation trips to Branson with his family. He was an organ donor; his eyes were donated so someone else could possibly see a cure for cancer.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Tiffany Daniels who passed in 1996, and a brother Pete Jones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. A Rosary will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
