My family and I knew him when he and his family lived in Cape Coral, FL when he(Ben Oliver) & I (Andrew Tirado) were teenagers. We were really close for about five years before he left southwest Florida. After Ben left then legally changed his name to Jason Timmons, we had an estranged friendship with little communication that went on for the last couple of decades plus. There was one time after the initial publication of my book that he(Ben) and his friend Bob Timmons came to find and visit me at Florida Gulf Coast University where I was a student in 2007, and we all went to spend some time at Bush Gardens in Tampa, FL for some good times.
Ben Oliver, as I knew him, came into my life in 2000 in fredonia. He lived with my mom and I for almost a year. He was a good man. We spent hours up at night talking. About times in St Petersburg FL etc. he was judged by alot of people especially in fredonia in 2000. He was different and humans don’t usually like different. He made a big impression on my life. One of first people to tell me “you could br special bro. … ur amazing”. At 17 that was something crazy to hear. I moved in 2001 to Indiana and never saw him again… I’ve always thought about him through years and felt bad about not trying to contact him. Now here we are…. Full of regret. Love you Ben…. See u one day brother.
