I am sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I was in the Fredonia Class of 1961 also and had several class with Jerry. I have thought of my classmates many times over the years and one of my favorite memories is of Jerry reciting the first names of all of his siblings. It was always a fun time to hear this and even the teachers were amused. Such a great time of life - our teenage years. My husband, (Dewayne Powell) has been sharing alot of posts he receives on facebook and Jerry would like and comment of some of them. It was good to see his comments. Please know your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God's Spirit comfort you in the days ahead.

Many happy memories of Jerry and his wife and mother of his children, I met Jerry and his family when I worked at Hackney in Independence. The main thing I remember about Jerry is when he welcome us to his home,adding he wanted us to meet his wife Wanda and his little people (that's how he introduced his 3 children), which he loved very much. We had fun fishing and picnic's things we could do with all the family. You will be missed and always remember very affectionately.Prayers to the family. Jerry and Patricia Upton
