I've known Karen nearly as long as I've lived in Chanute, early 60's, she worked with my Aunt Lela Hughes at "The "K" Shop" on main, which later became "Jennifer's", She was such a sweetheart, and a beautiful lady till the end. I am grateful to have been able to call her a friend always.
I met Karen late through a mutual friend and the Pool Parties she hosted at her house. I fell in love with her sweet personality and open hearted self. I will always cherish the time I had with her. Her smile will always be what I see when I think of her. Love and hugs to her family and know she was a very special lady to many many people.
