A cowboy's prayer......
I've been a long time coming, Lord,
But now, I'm riding in.
I see those gates just shining,
Where no pain is felt within.
I heard the angels singing, Lord,
When they came to escort me.
They let me ride my favorite horse
On in to eternity.
I'm thankful for my days on earth,
And my friends & family there below.
They knew quite well my time had come,
But they grieved to see me go.
I ask that you give them comfort, Lord,
For I'm in a better place.
Please let them know that I rest in peace,
Thanks to your matchless grace.
Please let them know that I love them, Lord,
And all fear has been put aside.
I will wait for a grand reunion,
When they, too, cross the Great Divide.
I first met Ronnie when i moved from Fargoe, Oklahoma to 8 miles from Howard, Kansas. We went to a country school by the name of Fiat. He was my 1st boyfriend--so cute or "hot" as they would say today. He was a lot of fun and in highschool took me to a sweetheart dance. He was a wonderful friend and very much a gentleman. My husband, Dwain Terry, and Ronnie would get together and pick and grin on the guitars. What fun!!!!
Thank you Ron for being the Man that you Were he’ll never be forgotten cowboy

Second only to my grandpa, "Pappy" Smith, my dad Ron was known and loved by more people than I could ever hope to meet. He had a way of making someone he just met feel like they were a long lost friend. If you needed someone that could shoe a horse, he knew him. If you needed someone to repair your boots, he had a guy (thanks Roger). Amazingly he even knew someone that could make him a coffin. (Thank you Dave Spriggs). If you were looking for a lifelong friend and family member and constant companion, you could always count on Harold. I know I will never have as many friends as he did, not because I don't meet as many people, but because he was a much better man than I will ever be...
