While it has been several years since I have seen Letha, I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I remember going to the Orchid Buffett to eat, and recalling how full of life she was. As my friendship with her daughter Linda grew, I recall her as both a funny and feisty woman, with a most generous heart:) I remember Letha and Louie, with absolute joy in their eyes, when they started cycling. While she was many things to many people, I can say she touched my heart. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Most of all, to my closest friend Linda.........my heart goes out to you. While I'm sorry I can't be there, just know my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. If this past year has taught me one thing, losing those we loved most, causes us to reflect on both their lives and our own. I hope to have a positive effect on others, as they did on mine.....
May your memories help comfort you during this difficult time.
Love, Karen Stover
Linda, I was always amazed at how active your retired parents were while we were in college! My deepest sympathy in this loss if your mother. Thinking if you all. Warmly, Kim Buttler.
The one story I would like to share about my big sister is when I was about 3 or 4 years old she made the mistake of taking me shopping with her, Well I seen this 18 wheeler on the shelf and I throw a fit until she bought it for me. I don't remember what it cost but I am sure that she had to give up something she wanted to buy it for me. That was just one of the very special memories I have of Letha. I will miss her so very much and will always love her. God bless you big sister and know you will never be forgot.
Denise, Steven, Danny and Linda I know this is a extremely hard time and a great loss. But always remember your mom loved you guys more than life itself and was very proud of you. We have said special prayers for god to stay close by your side and comfort you in this great time of sorrow. We Love you Guys, Riley & Trellous
I loved aunt letha. I may not have had as many years with her as i hoped, but the time spent will never be forgotten. Nor the last time i got to her, we all ate ourselves into a seafood coma talking politics and growing older. I love you! -meegan bullock.
My heart goes out to my Niece Linda and Nephews, Steven and Danny.
My favorite memory of Letha was when she and I went to Oklahoma City, picked up our Niece Angela Coble and kept her for the night. We got a motel room and took Angela out for a very nice supper and a glass of wine. Letha kept threatening to order oysters on a half shell. if she would have, I would have thrown up. She laughed at me over it. The ride to Oklahoma City and back home, was, well, if you knew Letha, very eventful. She was the life of the party and the strength when you needed it, I loved this lady and she will be missed.
"Grandma" Letha was a true friend with a heart of Gold. Always there with a good story, great food, warm hug, and bright smile! She will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.
