I only met Rex Ogle one time in my life just briefly in the early 1970s. But he and Phyllis we're such good friends to my sister Irma (Hughes) Goyer and her sister Helen (Hughes) Walker and their families, that I really admired the man. i have known Rex my entire life. Grown up next door to him was great. He treated me like one of his own. I remember watching him make wooden horses. He made me one and I still have it to this day. He was definitely one of a kind. He will never be forgotten.
Rhonda and I were saddened by the news of our friend Rex. We always had a fun and exciting time on many of the motorcycle rides that we had the privilege of experiencing when Rex was with us. Many poker runs, trips to Nebraska and Colorado, and the many times of just a local ride. The family has our heartfelt sorrow, thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by many. RIP. Very sorry for your family's loss. Rex always seemed like a very nice man when we would occasionally run into each other; I always enjoyed talking to him. My grandparents were neighbors to his parents, and I knew them well. I remember the last time we talked some years ago, I was with my dad Mark who has since passed away. My dad cried when he spoke to Rex, remembering [Rex's] Grandma Ogle, from his youth, who I believe was a midwife to some of my dad's siblings. Alan Bivins, Leawood KS
I always loved to see those boys playing dominoes! Rex was such a great friend to my dad. They were like peas in a pod! So very sorry for your loss!
