He pulled out of the driveway in his brown square body chevy truck. I 8yrs old, was with him. There was a rattlesnake on the road justbqs we got on the road from the driveway. He stopped put the truck in park, pulled out his picket knife, opened the door... all while he was asking me, "you know how to start a campfire" as he exited the truck, cut off its head and we turned around & was bk to the house in a flash! I had told him "yes, I do". He said good, I'll show you something else then. He started cleaning the skinnoff in reverse pull(to make a belt with), as instarted my little campfire. And in like less than 2 minutes, we were cooking my what was to be my first taste of rattlesnake. IT WAS AWESOME! I have never again had any, but would not mind it one bit.
