Lyle Martin "Marty" Greer's Obituary
Lyle Martin “Marty” Greer, 54, passed away at his home in Chanute on November 19, 2017. He was born to Jack and Imogene (Stevenson) Greer in Red Bud, IL on August 6, 1963. On January 3, 1998, Marty married Wanda Gail Moore who passed away on December 4, 2011. He then married Tonya Howard on October 18, 2014. She survives at their home.
Marty was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa. He was a wonderful cook, and especially enjoyed using his smoker to cook meat. Marty had a big heart and would help anyone, but especially loved helping his in-laws on their farm. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Marty was employed at Young’s Welding and truly loved his job. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack “Steven” Greer; and sister, Susie Greer.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 2:00 – 3:00.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel followed immediately by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Memorials have been suggested to American Heart Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS 66720.
