My thoughts and prayers to you. I will miss seeing max smile as he came in to the cafe.
My early memories of Max involve singing gospel songs and listening to gospel quartets and the song "Will the circle be unbroken". Also I made many trips to the Dr. Pepper plant to pick up pop for Olson Grocery (where I worked) and could visit with Max and he always took good care of me. He would bring those wooden cases (small bottles) to our house and we were all Dr. Pepper fans. Max also pitched softball in the church league for the UB teams. All good memories!!
I will always remember Max reciting poems by memory, nothing written down. My Mother Martha McCarty always looked forward to these, as did I. I also remember Max giving out candy to the little kids. I will miss his smile. I'm sure he will be missed by many.
