Nadine Marie Burghart's Obituary
Nadine Marie Burghart, age 85, died Monday, May 5, 2014 in Wichita, KS.
Nadine was born on November 28, 1928 in Chanute, KS the daughter of James and Bessie (Kirk) Kern.
Nadine graduated from Chanute High School and then worked as a clerk for Southwestern Bell Company for 20 years.
On September 19, 1953 in Chanute, KS, Nadine married Billy D. Brinkmeyer and they were married for 32 years before he preceded her in death. On July 29, 2000 in Chanute, KS, Nadine married Vyrl D. Burghart and they were married for a year and half before he preceded her in death.
Nadine was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club and Red Hatters. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and was a Telephone Pioneer Clown and a volunteer at Camp Hope. Nadine was member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.
Survivors including her three childern: Becky Brinkmeyer of Wichita, KS; Dwight Brinkmeyer and wife Donna of Fall River, KS; Vicky Brinkmeyer of Wichita, KS; grandchildren Julie, Brent, Shannon, Kendra and David; siblings: Beverly Myers and husband Duke of Corpas Christi, TX; and Lois Fike and husband Roy of Tulsa, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bessie; two husbands Bill and Vyrl; brothers David Kern, Kenneth Kern, Raymond Kern, Robert Kern.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel.
The family has requested that memorials be given to the Good Shepard Hospice and Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.
