Mildred Steeves
I want to extend my sympathy to all of you in the loss of your Mother/Grandmother. She was a lovely lady and always had a smile for everyone. My Mother-in-law was Eva May Yockey Steeves. We went to many of the Yockey reunions in Chanute. The last time I aw Nadine and Bill was at Olpie's.
Sue, you were the best baby sitter we ever had for Nancy and Barry. Nancy still has a book you gave to them in 1948. It was a favorite book, "How Sandy the Squirrel Got His Tail".
I still check the Chanute Tribune even though we have been in Emporia over 55 years. Forrest is buried in Chanute.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
Mildred Steeves
