I remember how Aunt Carlene always made delicious pies. On my 9th birthday I celebrated it at the Chanute park in July and Aunt Carlene had made me some pies and one was a chocolate pudding pie. Well it was so hot that day, that the pie started to melt so Aunt Carlene grabed a straw and started drinking the pie. It was pretty funny. I will always remember as she walked into Mitzi's shop when I was there she would always have a pop in her hand and always called me baby along with a big hug. I will miss you and I love you very much.

I remember my Aunt for her love of life and sharing. When i was younger i can remember the Green mashed potatoes for St. Patrick's Day and dipping real rose's in wax. They always turned out pretty. She liked showing me how to play the piano probably the reason i tool listens when i was older. She would make doll clothes and at Christmas time if she didn't get enough made she'd wrap up IOU's and put under the tree for more that she was going to make. She was so full of Love for everyone. Always good to remember the fun pleasant times and to leave the bad behind.

Know that others share in your sorrow at the passing of your mother, grandmother, sister and my friend. She was one of God's most precious creations.
Carlene and I grew up together on North Garfield, attending Alcott School thru' Chanute High. As a girl, she was a friendly, out-going person and she never changed. She knew no difference in race, the color of your skin, whether you were rich or poor or if you were if you was on the honor roll or considered the dumbest kid in school. She always treated every one the same. We were in a lot of activities together, she especially enjoyed home economics and music. And she was always one of the 'smartest' kids in the class. I will always remember her greeting me with a smile and a hug whenever we met. I'll miss seeing you old friend, but know we will meet later in that great getting-up morning. Love you.
I have a lot of fun memories on the farm. Picnics, jumping on to the hay in the barn ( I am scared of heights now for some reason) . being chased by a bull and we all had to jump a creek. I was small so it seemed like a big creeks. Lol. I will always remember the bedroom door that was covered with leather and fancy tacks. RIP Carlene you will be missed
I worked with Carlene at Hi-Lo. Always a smile on her face!!! She make one heck of a banana creme pie!!! She will be missed!!
