Even though I hardly seen my grandma I still remember her as a nice warm soul I think I only saw her twice but I was lucky I got thous times with her because my baby sister never got to and my brother only saw her two years ago for his first time:'(
Nina Jane was a dear friend and loved very much. I'll miss her.
Nina had a wonderful doll collection. A few of my long forgotten dolls from childhood came to be part of this doll family. Nina lovingly cleaned and fixed the dolls and their clothes and displayed them in her home. She enjoyed looking for new additions to the collection at the “Goodie Store” (thrift store) in Independence. I have fond memories of visiting Nina with my Dad (Aden Hogan. Sr.). She always had a big smile and a hug to give you.
Our visits with Nina and her kids (2 and 4 legged) were always the best! She is loved and will be missed. Aden, Jr. & Anne Hogan
Many great memories with Grandma "D". Bowling with her, mom, and her gal pals. She always called me "Arlana Joe." Joe is not my middle name but I never corrected her. We used to play Yahtzee and cards together and go to casino. Grandma loved those things.
And then there's her famous quote about potato soup... Grandma you'll like it... "I doubt it! Whoever thought of putting cheese in potato soup." Some will not get it but for those who do, makes us smile every time.
Loved her.
