Nina Jane Arnel-Duckett's Obituary
Nina Jane Arnel-Duckett, age 83, a resident of Elk Falls, Kansas passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at her home. She was born on March 13, 1931 in Elk Falls, the daughter of Orwill Perrin and Gertrude Ellen (Rose) Lewis.
Nina was united in marriage to Joseph W. Arnel on May 27, 1949 in Meade, Kansas and they later divorced and to this union were born seven children. She then married Holland P. Duckett and he preceded her in death. Nina was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, bowling, reading, crafting and playing cards.
Nina is survived by her son Arlin Arnel of Kingman, Arizona; daughters, Joy Fedock of Independence; Debra Wright of Elk Falls; Darla Walters of Needles, California; Nancy Nuttall of Elk Falls; and Lura Arnel of Longton; brother Orwill Lewis of Arlington, Washington; sisters, Lolla Belle Shults of Derby; and Ethel Violet Winkes of Arlington, Washington; 18 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Joseph Arnel; daughter Arlana Jo Arnel; and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Calvary Chapel in Elk Falls with interment to follow at the Elk Falls Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Elk Falls Senior Center and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countysidefh.com.
