Norma June Book's Obituary
Norma “June” Book, age 86, of Moline, KS passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Medicalodges in Independence, KS. June was born October 1, 1929 in Moline, KS the daughter of Albert Clarie and Eva Louise (Lancett) Horn.
She graduated from Moline High School and married Freddie J. Book. She owned and operated Fred’s IGA in Moline for close to half a century. June was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Moline, delivered Friendship Meals, was an avid bird watcher, loved square dancing and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
June is survived by her daughter; Carol Pinckney, sister; Marlys Horn, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Eva, husband; Freddie, son; Jon David Book, brother; Bill Horn, and sister; Lee Horn.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. the United Methodist Church in Moline, KS. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at church. Family suggests memorials to United Methodist Church in Moline and may be left with the funeral home or mailed to P.O. Box 1233, Howard, KS. 67349
