I remember my grandpa cracking mixed nuts in his recliner. Since I was too small to do it, grandpa would crack one for me and one for him. I also remember him teaching me to brush the cat in the garage and to pick vegetables from the garden. I won't forget watching him teach his great granddaughter to pick green beans. Even though she was still a toddler with a pacifier, he showed her with a great level of patience. It was really cute to see her crouch down next to him in a garden row. I remember my grandpa letting me cut the grass with the riding lawnmower, and dinners at the Elks club with my grandma and him. Even more, I remember him taking me to the donut shop and letting me shift the gears in the pick up truck. Over the years, I grew to appreciate my grandpa's quiet and calm nature. I love grandpa; you will be missed!
