Ralph D. Evans' Obituary
Ralph D. Evans, age 88, of Chanute, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Chanute, Kansas. Ralph was born on July 26, 1928 in Chanute, KS the son of Andrew Jackson and Ora Violet (Hinds) Evans.
In November of 1958, Ralph married Louise Crow in Miami, OK. She preceded him in death in 2005.
Ralph was a maintenance worker for Ash Grove for many years. In his free time he loved to garden. He was known for having a large garden with everything in it and when it came time to harvest he would give away his vegetables to God’s Pantry as well as his neighbors and friends. Ralph was very active at the First Christian Church and enjoyed volunteering for the food pantry there. He was also an officer and very active member of the Elks Lodge.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Louise.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Chanute. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Memorials have been suggested to the First Christian Church food pantry and may be left with of mailed to the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS 66720.
