I remember when I was young, probably before kindergarten, when he was in the hospital for his broken ankle. We visited him there and I wanted to sit on his lap. I'm sure my dad said no, but Uncle Richard pulled me up into his lap. He was such a warm, loving man and never made me feel as if I were a nuisance, although I'm sure I had my days. Love you, Uncle Richard, I will miss you!
