Karen Gausman
Shirley was a high school classmate of my mother, Ruth Peterson Beckner. They kept in
touch over all the years. My sister and I used to take my mother to visit Shirley, and the
smiles and joy on both of their faces was so much fun to see.
Please accept our sympathies on the loss of your mother. She was an inspiration with
her positive attitude and gentle sense of humor. She was so proud of all of you.
