Virginia McLaren Bundy's Obituary
Virginia McLaren Bundy, age 94, of Chanute, KS passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Chanute, KS. Virginia was born on December 27, 1921 in Allen County, KS the daughter of Walter and Elsie Miller Packard.
On March 23, 1941 she married Robert C. McLaren, who preceded her in death on March 8, 1982. On June 8, 1996 she married Earl Bundy. Earl preceded her in death on March 19, 2001.
Virginia graduated from Chanute High School in 1939. She worked as manager of the catalog department at Montgomery Ward. After retirement she enjoyed travel, reading books and being with friends. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion. She was a volunteer at St. Pat’s thrift store. Virginia was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert McLaren and Earl Bundy; son, James R. McLaren and a brother Dick Packard.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Families request memorials to Otterbein Methodist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS.
