Virginia Grace Warner's Obituary
Virginia Grace Warner, 89, of Chanute, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute. Virginia was born in Drumright, Oklahoma on October 19, 1924, the daughter of Frederick and Bessie (Gates) Tackkett. She attended high school in Moran, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to Robert Warner on March 7, 1946 in Chanute. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1990. Virginia was a homemaker and owned and operated Warner’s Grocery Store. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
Virginia is survived by three daughters, Mary Bonczkowski of Humboldt, Sherry Bowyer of Pittsburg and Sandra Ganas of Florida; grandchildren Sheri Gillham, Joseph Bonczkowski, and Hannah Bowyer; great-grandchildren, Britton and Morgan Gillham, and Jaron and Kaleigh Bonczkowski; and two brothers, Dale Tackkett and Clyde Tackkett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; and a son, Richard Warner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Church.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
