Just want to give my condolences to Cherie and Billie and all the family. Remember W from the Ammo plant. Always a kind hearted and jolly person. Sorry for your loss! Julia Wadkins
I wish I could put into words what W meant to me. We were such close friends for about ten years during my Sundowner days. He was always so helpful and kind to me...in a big way. Once he drove to Rochester, MN to bring me home after I was dismissed from the Mayo Clinic. Once he surprised me by building a small porch with stairs and a railing to help me after a surgery. That porch was so solidly built that I used to tease him that in case of a tornado, I would seek shelter under it. Once he drove to Tucson with Gale and me to swap cars with my parents. The list goes on and on. He also, on two occasions that I know of, took single moms-to-be under his wing and bought them EVERYTHING on their wish-list, because he said he admired them for keeping their babies. W was also the smartest person I ever knew...oh, the lively debates we would get into! RIP, sweet W. The world was a better place with you in it. My heart goes out to all of his family.
So sorry to here this W was a great guy one of the first people I met of my husbands friends and was a wonderful friend. RIP you will be missed.
Dear Connie and family, our hearts are breaking at the news of Bill's call "home" all too soon, but no one is missing him more than each of you. Bill was one of the kindest, most sincere friends I've ever known, always making everyone else laugh and feel at ease. Our class of '69 reunions will never be the same with him there with us. Hang tight to the wonderful memories you have and to the faith you have in knowing you will be together again. Praying for peace and comfort in the coming days; we love you so much.
