William J. "W" Coltrain's Obituary
William J. “W” Coltrain, age 64 of Altoona, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. William was born on September 28, 1951 in Neodesha the son of William J. and Aileen (Koyl) Coltrain.
William was a graduate of Neodesha High School class of 1969, he continued his education and graduated from Pitt State with a Master’s in Business Administration. In 1972, William joined the U.S. Army and served until 1979.
William worked for the Parson’s Ammunition Plant and various other companies throughout his life. He enjoyed playing basketball, coaching, and playing golf. He was an avid classic car collector, and a member of the Mr. Shifter’s Car Club in Neodesha. Most of all, William enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Brother: Morris Coltrain of Overland Park, KS
Sisters: Sherrie Coltrain of Parsons, KS
Billie Jo Coltrain of Parsons, KS
Janis McNally of Zephyr Hills, FL
2 granddaughters, Autumn and Reagan Eibling, Nephew Khalil Coltrain and many other nephews and nieces
William was preceded in death by his parents
Cremation has been requested. The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Neodesha Housing Authority 118 S. 6th St., Neodesha, KS.
